PROVIDING THE COMPASSIONATE & DILIGENT CARE YOUR PET DESERVES

Woodbridge Pet Surgeries

We understand that a surgical procedure can be stressful for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our highest priority. Crossroads Animal Care Center is equipped with an advanced surgical suite, designed to accommodate surgical patients for everything from routine spay and neuter procedures to more complex soft-tissue, orthopedic, and emergency vet services.

The following are just some of the surgical procedures our veterinarians perform:

Preparing for Surgery

Prior to surgery, each patient undergoes a thorough physical examination and pre-anesthetic blood testing. These tests not only give us a more complete picture of your pet’s health, but also allow us to develop an anesthetic protocol for your pet. An intravenous catheter is placed to facilitate the administration of drugs and fluids during your pet’s procedure. Throughout surgery, state-of-the-art equipment monitors your pet’s vital signs, including blood pressure, EKG (cardiac function), and SPO2 (oxygen saturation). All surgical patients, including those undergoing routine procedures such as spay/neuter surgeries, receive medication to control pain.

Post-Surgery Care

To ensure the healthy and safe recovery of your pet we do require most surgical patients to spend a night at our facility to receive postoperative care. Upon inquiring about scheduling a surgical procedure a staff member will walk you through the process of preparing your pet for surgery, appropriate drop off times, and the appropriate length of stay at our facility.
